In a relatively short time, however, the business grows beyond what you the owner can do by yourself, so employees are hired, and before you realize what's happened, it seems like all you do anymore is deal with employee issues...and you're not happy about it!

This may be a hard pill to swallow, but as the owner or key manager, you may not be the right choice to handle your company's employee issues.  Why?

 

  1. Education/Experience-It's not what you know.
  2. Bias-You are emotially involved.
  3. Disposition-You are not comfortable dealing with such issues because of all of the above.

 

Think about it this way, would you entrust someone to deal with your employee issues who was uneducated, inexperienced, emotionally biased, and hated doing it?
