Here are Some Important Questions for Small Business:

1. Are you experiencing pain associated with managing your employees? 
2. Do you feel like you spend too much of your time and the company's resources dealing with employee related issues?

In fact, this is a typical small business dilemma.  The truth is that most business owners start a business to make money, or to do what they love, or both.  It's the American Dream, right?

In a relatively short time, however, the business grows beyond what you the owner can do by yourself, so employees are hired, and before you realize what's happened, it seems like all you do anymore is deal with employee issues...and you're not happy about it!

You're not happy about it and you feel trapped in a "catch 22" situation.  You need the employees if the company is going to continue to grow, there's no one else in the company that can handle the employee issues, and the company can't justify hiring an in-house HR professional...catch 22.

You may do more harm than good! 

This may be a hard pill to swallow, but as the owner or key manager, you may not be the right choice to handle your company's employee issues.  Why?

1. Education/Experience-It's not what you know.
2. Bias-You are emotially involved.
3. Disposition-You are not comfortable dealing with such issues because of all of the above.

Think about it this way, would you entrust someone to deal with your employee issues who was uneducated, inexperienced, emotionally biased, and hated doing it?
